The day I lost my nail virginity...

Seven hours and five coffees later, I finally lost my nail virginity and got some gel nail extensions. I'd been delaying this for years because I always had a fear that it might hurt and I would get an urge to rip them off but, after an old friend said she'll do them at a mate rate for £7, I became mentally ready!

A little bit about the nail artist:
My friend Simona, who loves doing nails, has all the required certifications but doesn't have all the needed equipment and still manages to do a wonderful job. She has a very uplifting character so time flies with her!

A little bit about the process:
It took Simona nearly 7 hours to do my nails (including coffee and Malteaser breaks), as she didn't have the a professional electrical nail drill. Even still she did everything carefully by hand with special filers. My nails and skin are very sensitive so she had to take extra care and be gentle, part of the reason why it took so long (my nails would sting every time I had to put them under the UV light). She tried very hard knowing it was my first time getting my nails did! Time passed so quick as we just kept gossiping about mutual friends and the naughty things we did as kids.

The outcome:
I'm very happy with the end result. The nails look gorgeous and classy. My friend listened to my ideas and turned them into a reality, as the nude base color and the thin white french tips create the perception of longer fingers.
