FoliHair SCAM

Hi girls,

You probably saw that I mentioned folihair.co.uk in my previous post, but today I want to talk more about it.

Basically a few months ago I was desperate to get myself some hair extensions and I was very low on money, looking for affordable extensions online and then came upon folihair.co.uk which offered very reasonable prices. I ordered the 26 inch Ash brown extensions and got them within 2 days. The colour though was way too dark and I didn't even open the packaging and tried contacting the customer service email that they provided on the website cs@folihair.us with no luck. Researched a bit more and found another folihair site, folihair.com that looked exactly like the co.uk one it also had the same e-mail for customer service. With no luck of getting a response for an exchange I went back into my email inbox and found the delivery summary and noticed that the actual customer service email was cs@forihair.com which implies that the website was fake. E-mailed them and got no response.

After that I decided that I'll keep the extensions and maybe just dye my own hair. But reality hit hard when I took the extensions out of the packaging and tried to straighten them... They melted and the description clearly stated 100% Remy Human Hair. I got furious.

Went to Paypal to open a dispute claiming the item that I was sent was not as described and fake. Two days later Paypal closed the dispute in the sellers favour with no explanation or option to appeal. I lost £55. ( At this point I was very disappointed in Paypal and vowed to only pay directly through my card so in any case I can go directly to my bank).

I was angry and humiliated at the same time as it was not the first time that I got scammed by a similar website only the last time I got my £400 back from my bank and they made sure the company was reported to the internet fraud department.

Later on, me and my boyfriend did some research on the folihair brand and realised that it's a chain of scam sites as they belong to the same IP address. Meaning folihair.com is posing as the original site that customers come to complain about receiving fake goods from other folihair sites, folihair.co.uk & folihair.ca. Folihair.com poses as the original website and they are trying to fool customer that were victims of the other sites to purchase another pair of extensions from them only to end up being fake once again. I hope this post was informative for girls that are searching for affordable extensions. To be honest girls, don't be cheap when you buy extensions and don't buy stuff that seem too good to be true.

My latest extensions are from www.cliphair.co.uk and they are a legit and trustworthy website that I will definitely buy from again in the future. The regular extensions in 24 inches are £54.99, the same price as in the folihair.co.uk website the only difference is that cliphair's extensions are actually REAL and very good quality.

Watch out for Internet scammers girls, they are lurking in every corner!

Cheers!
Sigita

  1. Unfortunately I had a bad experience too. Folihair.co.uk are a rip off. Site says remy human hair however when you get your extensions its not human but synthetic hair. You then contact them and they ask you to send the hair back to CHINA using tracked delivery which costs £14 before they will refund. so don't waste your time or money. And then when you send it back they claim not to have received it and do not refund you anyway. For more info on this scam visit folihair.com page on facebook you will see 100's have been conned by folihair.co.uk, folihair.com.au and folihair.ca. I bought two sets one 16 and one 22 inch both are synthetic
